This introductory session is perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics of acting for TV and film.

Join filmmaker, educator, and director Najaa Young for a 90-minute hands-on experience where you’ll practice moving naturally, reacting truthfully, hitting your marks, and working within the camera frame.

Najaa will guide you through simple but powerful techniques that real actors use to perform with confidence and truth on screen. You'll also get tips on preparing for auditions and taking direction on set — all in a fun, welcoming environment.

No experience needed — just bring your creativity and love for storytelling!

Najaa Young is a filmmaker, educator, and founder of Òrúnmìlà’s Daughter Productions. With a background in Film Production (MFA, Florida State University) and Theatre Arts (BA, Chatham University), Najaa is passionate about storytelling, cultural preservation, and mentoring emerging creatives.
