Art Classes at the Cady Library

Three free art classes! Registration is required. Call or visit the library to register.

Ages: 7-12

July 12th & July 26th - Gel Plate Printing 1 & 2
Learn the process of printing using gel plates! Use acrylic paint, found objects, and organic materials to design a composition on a gel plate. Several versions or variations can be printed from one composition. Students will have opportunities to experiment and practice newly acquired printmaking skills. These two workshops will focus on printmaking with different techniques.

August 9th - Gel Plate Printing - Lotti Birds
Grotti Lotti inspired mixed media. After viewing a few examples of Lotti’s fun, playful, and bright work, students will lay down a watercolor wash of a bird, then add details with collage and markers.
