Ards Town Centre Crit Races

Ards Cycling Club are pleased to see the return of the town centre criterium races to Newtownards with the generous support of Ards and North Down Borough Council and Formation Works Newtownards

The programme will include competitive races under Cycling Ireland rules, across age ranges U8 to U16 from 18:15 and race categories LC, C3 and C1/C2.

A fun family event has also been organised for young cyclists accompanied by a responsible adult. Registration for this will be in the Town Hall on the night.

Programme, subject to change, is as follows:

The circuit is due to be closed to traffic by 6 pm.

18:00 Fun event for children accompanied by adults. Followed by an ice cream for all children.

This is followed by the race programme starting with the youth races, provisional timings as follows:
18:20 staggered start for U8, U10 and U12 categories
18:40 staggered start for U14 & U16 categories
Followed by races for the adults
19:00 C3 & LC
20:00 C1 and C2
21:15 roads reopen
