Pop-up Art Sale

Newtown Historical Society is offering original oil paintings by artist Eugene Boyko for sale starting April 1st till May 31st. Pieces will be exhibited at the C. H. Booth Library first floor hallway outside the meeting room. You can complete your purchase at the main circulation desk, where they will accept cash or checks made out to the Newtown Historical Society.

Paintings were offered by Newtown resident, Kathy Vrabel, in order to help us raise funds for the Matthew Curtis House, museum and headquarters of the society (44 Main Street).

Eugene Boyko was an area artist who specialized in local sceneries and occasional modern art pieces. Prices will allow anyone to purchase an original painting for their home or office. There will be pieces ranging from small to large, and able to fit any space. The exhibit will start with winter and fall scenes and change out to spring and summer themed pieces. So stop and browse often in order to see new pieces as they are added. A brief biography of the painter will be included with each piece sold.
