Hike Through History

Join Tyler State Park staff and The Friends of Tyler State Park for a hike into the past. We will walk the route that early 20th century visitors traveled on their way to the grand estate home of George and Stella Elkins Tyler. Many current day visitors to Tyler State Park don't realize that the lengthy "Tyler Drive Trail" is the historic driveway of George and Stella.

The hike is a little over 4 miles long on paved and hard-packed dirt trails. There is an incline to reach the manor house, but it is otherwise flat. This is a linear/out-and-back hike.
Meet at the Mill Dam Parking lot. Wear proper footwear. Bring water. No registration required.
