After the overwhelming success of our first session, we are proud to bring the “” back to the Bucks County community. This is a free event designed to equip parents, students, and advocates with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively advocate for children in schools.
This powerful event is being presented by the Bucks County Chapter of the NAACP in partnership with the Legal Kid Foundation and the Education Law Center of Pennsylvania.

This event is designed to ensure families and community members walk away with actionable strategies and a clear understanding of how to support children’s educational rights and wellbeing.
“We are seeing more families facing challenges around discipline, discrimination, and lack of adequate support in schools,” said Adrienne King, Chapter President of NAACP Bucks County. “It’s critical that parents, students, and advocates are informed and equipped with the tools they need to stand up for their rights and ensure our children are treated with fairness, dignity, and care.”

We aim to nurture thoughtful student leaders and empower parents. Come to Newtown Friends School for a day packed with an inspiring workshop, lively discussions, and helpful resources. Our mission is to provide students with the tools to create positive change in their communities while supporting parents in becoming strong advocates for their kids.
The event is free and open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend — especially parents of students with disabilities, families impacted by school discipline, or anyone concerned about the educational climate in their schools.
