The proceeds from fund raising events are critical to funding the annual work of this organization as well as supporting our infrastructure. Some of our initiatives include: a) presenting workshops that provide essential information on issues of public importance; b) reviewing and evaluating our public safety and a push for centralized policing data access; c) protecting voter’s rights and providing voters with the knowledge to make informed decisions in the voting booth; d) protect the rights, the inclusivity and the quality of our children’s education; e) developing civic engagement skills to educate citizens to engage in the democratic process; f) awarding annual scholarships to deserving high school seniors to help with expenses in their first year of college.
