This event is part of Newton Public Library's first-ever Local Author Day! For a full schedule and additional info, go to www.newtonplks.org/authorday.

Join co-editor Leslie VonHolten for a panel discussion of "Kansas Matters: Twenty-First-Century Writers on the Sunflower State," 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11. This new anthology of poetry and prose brings together 35 of today's leading literary voices from the Sunflower State, exploring how Kansas makes us feel and why we're proud to call it home.
