Felted Cobweb Shawl with Fleeces Masterclass
Discover the art of creating a lightweight, textured cobweb shawl using the finest natural materials, including silk laps and hand-selected wool fleeces.
In this masterclass, you'll learn how to make a delicate, flowing scarf rich in texture—without the bulk traditionally associated with fleece-based shawls. Using a special felting technique, you'll achieve a refined, airy finish that feels as luxurious as it looks.
One of the most exciting aspects of this workshop is that you’ll be able to create a large, visually striking piece in a small working space, making it perfect for home studios or limited setups.
This class is ideal for both fibre artists and those looking to create truly distinctive wearable art. You’ll leave not just with a beautiful shawl, but also with the skills and confidence to explore this technique further on your own.
During the class, you will learn:
The best fleeces to use for a cobweb shawl
The layout technique
Felting methods suitable for this style
How to make a large shawl on a small table
