The Lost Sound – Dartmoor Folk choir is an unaccompanied, auditioned choir of 40 strong and natural voices.
They have built a reputation for their inspiring arrangements of traditional, contemporary and often new original Folk songs, creating a unique relationship with local composers, like Chris Hoban. Their programmes are full of texture, harmony and vibrant storytelling using full choir, both male and female ensembles, quartets and duets they create an exciting and varied concert format.
They have sung at Sidmouth Folk Festival, St Ives September festival, and have supported 'Show of Hands' and Steve Knightley on many Devon dates, including their farewell concert last year, at Exeter Cathedral.
Called 'A compelling and powerful Folk choir' by Sidmouth Folk Festival, they have shown that Folk is an ideal genre for choirs to bring fresh colour and perspective to these important ancient melodies. Directed by Sandra Smith
