THE JOSH MEADER TRIO will be visiting us from the other side of the world on Thursday 25 September! They have emerged as a formidable force in the contemporary jazz scene, captivating audiences worldwide with their electrifying performances and genre-defying compositions.
Led by Amsterdam-born, Sydney-raised guitar virtuoso Josh Meader, the trio features National Jazz Award winners Alex Hirlian on drums and Matt Thomson on keys.
Critics have lauded their ability to blend modern jazz with elements of pop, funk, hip-hop, bebop, and rock, creating a sound that is both innovative and deeply rooted in tradition. Their debut album, Tides of Time, has been praised for its melodic intricacy and the trio’s exceptional interplay, with reviewers noting the “cascading waves of melody and rhythm” that define their music.
