Soundings Live Dance Performance

Live dance performances will be taking place in the West Gallery by dancer Rosalind Noctor, exploring how we imagine, portray and talk about the deep sea.

The performances will be taking place at 10am, 10:40am, 1:20pm and 2pm

Soundings was created by artist Emma Critchley as an urgent response to the imminent gold rush of deep-sea mining for minerals and the ecological, geopolitical, and cultural concerns at stake. Soundings explores how film, sound, and dance might be used to connect us with the seemingly remote and inaccessible space of the deep ocean from an embodied position.
