Mini McGinty Conference: Take Charge of Your Brain Health

Learn how to take charge of your brain health at a Mini McGinty Conference on Alzheimer’s, aging and brain health.

This no-cost mini conference will cover several topics including:
- The latest in Alzheimer’s and dementia research.
- 10 warning signs of Alzheimer’s.
- Practices for maintaining brain health at all ages.
- Learning about community resources.

It is presented by the Oregon and Southwest Washington Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association in collaboration with Oregon Care Partners, Oregon Health & Science University, AARP Oregon and Samaritan Health Services.

Seating is limited and lunch will be provided. Registration is required by calling the 24/7 Alzheimer’s Helpline toll-free at 800-272-3900 or going online to alz.org/CRF then selecting Alzheimer’s Education Programs to find the Newport event.

By the way, the conference is named for the late Dr. Dean McGinty, a Portland geriatrician, an early advocate for those living with dementia, and a pioneer in the Alzheimer’s family-support movement.
