Members-Only Conservator’s Choice Lecture

he Breakers third floor, which opened to the public for the first time in June 2024, is a preservation project in progress. This lecture, held at Rosecliff, is an opportunity for our members to learn more about The Breakers third-floor spaces once used by the Vanderbilt family and servants, and the ongoing restoration and conservation work there.

Join Chief Conservator Patricia Miller and Textile Conservator Heather Hodge for insights into the detailed research, analysis and treatments being applied to preserve and present these spaces that were closed to the public for more than 120 years. They will summarize the efforts of the last 14 months and provide a preview of what’s to come.
