MATE Oregon Regional ROV Competition

This year’s MATE Oregon Regional ROV Competition will take place on Saturday, May 10th at the Newport Recreation Center pool. In this annual event led by Oregon Sea Grant, students in grades 4-12 build remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and use them to complete underwater missions.

Teams will compete between 9:30am and 3:25, stop by anytime to watch the ROV's in action.

More than 40 volunteers are needed to run this event, serving as judges, station managers, runners, prop builders, and more. If you'd like to volunteer, you can sign up here: https://beav.es/MATE2025.
