Imbolc 2026

The evenings are slowly getting lighter as we approach the first spring festival of Imbolc. This is the festival of Brighid, the goddess of healing, poetry and the forge. At this time we celebrate the first signs of spring - snowdrops, the start of lambing, and lengthening days. This is a time for the birthing of new ideas and rekindling our energy levels.

In case you were wondering, Imbolc is a Gaelic word, pronounced Im-molc (the 'b' is silent).

Our ceremony will last about 30 minutes. It will be outdoors, so please dress accordingly. Bring some veggie or vegan food (which is easy to eat standing up!) to share afterwards, if you wish. We never charge for our ceremonies, and all are welcome.

Please note that the actual ceremony is a sacred time and space, often with children accompanying their parents. We respectfully ask that you do not video the ceremony itself, and avoid including children in your photos, unless you have their parents' permission. Thank you
