We have a very special show happening Friday Aug 15th right here in Newport at Primaltones Venue. Join us for an evening of story telling, singing, dancing and didgeridoo performances by two world class performers.
Coming all the way from Australia, respected Aboriginal artist and performer, Lewis Burns will join us. Lewis is a Tubba-Gah Wiradjuri man born in Dubbo, NSW Austrailia. He has been sharing Aboriginal culture, art and performance world wide for decades and we're excited to have him return to Primaltones! (Some of you may have caught his performance last summer here when he brought his group Gunnay Bu Murrung).
Local Didgeridoo player, maker and producer Tyler Spencer will also be performing. Tyler Spencer has over 25 years experience performing, teaching and making Didgeridoo. He has performed internationally, and has collaborated with a variety of musical and performing acts. His music has also been showcased on movie and television work, most notably the HBO series “Dexter”. His solo performances incorporate live didgeridoo with self produced beats and have been described as rhythmic, otherworldly and capable of transforming a captivated crowd into a dance party..
We'll also have open mic/didgeridoo jams after the performances, so stick around for that and be prepared to dance and enjoy the music through he night.
