Alex’s Lemonade Stand Golf Tournament
Hello! I am thrilled to say that Newington Rotary is again proud to partner with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation with our 14th Annual Newington Rotary’s Alex’s Lemonade Golf Tournament. As usual, Indian Hill and Casa Mia will be helping us put together a great golf outing. There will be a box lunch, 18 Holes of Golf with carts at the beautifully maintained Indian Hill Country Club. There will be Contests, Raffle Prizes and Goodie bags for the golfers.

Alex Scott was born January 18th, 1996 and shortly before her first birthday, Alex was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer. Through all her battles, which she bravely fought, she started to do Alex's Lemonade Stand fundraisers so she could help other kids get help like she received. She held her first Alex's Lemonade Stand and with the help of her older brother she raised an amazing $2,000 for her hospital. Her ambitious vision fueled this cause and in August of 2004, at the age of eight, Alex passed away knowing that with the help of others, she had raised $1 million to aid in finding a cure for the disease that took her life. Alex's family has made her very proud and carried the torch to help countless families by raising over $300 million and funding well over 1,000 research projects so far!
In the first 13 years Newington Rotary has donated $300,000 to this inspiring cause! I am again honored to chair this year's tournament and am grateful for everyone’s support.
