About the event

Audrey Paslow…Coordination Before Stillness: Developing an Anchored Seat
Coordination Before Stillness: Developing an Anchored Seat

A stable, anchored seat is not one that is held still.
It is one that moves in harmony with the horse.

In this one-day clinic, I’ll help you to learn about control of pelvic motion—both in and out of the saddle—so your seat can follow your horse’s movement with quiet influence rather than effort. We’ll focus on how a well-coordinated seat allows you to remain balanced, effective, and connected without bracing or stiffness.

Through unmounted work and ridden application, you’ll refine how to organize your pelvic motion to promote balance, timing, and use of your aids. Rather than striving for stillness through tension, we’ll explore how true stability arises from coordination and feel.

This clinic emphasizes:
Understanding how the pelvis moves in relation to the horse and the saddle
Recognizing which muscles guide and support this movement
Developing a seat that remains steady because it is organized, not fixed

The morning will focus on unmounted work, giving you time to sense and refine pelvic movement in your own body. In the afternoon, we’ll carry these ideas into mounted work, where you can feel how a coordinated seat improves harmony, clarity, and communication with your horse.

This clinic is well suited for riders who:
Feel tight or unsettled in the saddle
Appear busy despite trying to sit quietly
Want a more effective, influential seat

A quiet seat is not motionless — it is coordinated.

We will be inside and nice and warm for the workshop portion and will be riding in the indoor in the afternoon.

Non-ridden Workshop $150
Workshop and Ridden $225
