YPT Presents The Shoemaker's Secret

Shoemaker William McShoes is asked to hand-make dancing shoes for the Princess, despite his failing eyesight. A rival shoemaker, who uses machinery to make shoes, overhears and plans to steal the commission. The next morning, William finds a beautiful pair of dancing shoes already made on his workbench. Who are his secret helpers? How can he repay them? Will the Princess choose these shoes?

The Shoemaker’s Secret’ is a traditional fairytale with a modern twist, which features an original script by Wendy Leis, with songs by Glenda Price and orchestration by Alexandra McCann. Threaded through this wonderful play are the timeless themes of teamwork, following dreams, self-belief, and the power of kindness.
