Sax Blue - Fundraiser for the Jacob Neale Jazz Awards

The Jacob Neale Jazz Awards are presented by the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music in collaboration with the Newcastle Improvised Music Association (NIMA), Adamstown Arts and the Newcastle and Hunter Jazz Club. This annual event is supported by a broad local music community to honor Jacob and provide a platform for new and emerging musicians. The finals will be held on Saturday the 19th of July 2025 at the Harold Lobb Concert Hall, Newcastle Conservatorium between 7pm – 10pm.
The Fundraising Concert will take place at Adamstown Uniting Church and feature the jazz sax quartet, SAX BLUE.
Sax Blue will be joined in this concert by Heather Price (bass and vocals, Jo Cadman (piano) and Ben Barnes (drums) as well as two saxophonists, Gareth Lewis and Clint Lawrence, to expand the quartet to a sextet.
