Bob Spargo and Garth Cooksey are both local artist.
Sharing a deep passion for nature, they have collaborated on this exhibition, while both have individual styles, there is a cohesion of their works through each of them employing “plein air” in the preparation of the exhibition.

Bob has been painting Australian scenes and wildlife since 1986. After a bushwalking expedition in Barrington tops national park Bob became inspired and moved his focus to painting rainforest scenes.

Garth has always held an interest in art, he has utilised many mediums in the past, but in recent years has settled on pastels, with ‘plein air’ his preferred practice method. Garth portrays the feelings and emotion of the scene that first drew him to it in his works. His works eminate from his love of nature and the serenity this inspires within him.
