Join us at Pachamama House in Hamilton for a community dinner and a special screening of the epic doco,The Bentley Effect.
This 2016 Australian documentary by Brendan Shoebridge documents the successful grassroots, non-violent resistance against unconventional gas mining in New South Wales' Northern Rivers. It captures the 5-year battle, culminating in the 2014 "Bentley Blockade," where thousands of citizens united to stop industrial development and protect their land.
This campaign is a huge inspiration to Rising Tide and this film is brilliant; captivating from the start to the end – funny, moving, and hopeful.
It will be an evening of hope and connection.
