Beach cleanup

Join us for a beach cleanup Sat 18 Oct to make Horseshoe Beach ready and beautiful for the 2025 People's Blockade.

We'll share a late breakfast and then collectively clear out winter washups and drift wood to make this beach welcoming for all. Please bring gloves, hat, shoes & metal rake.

We are working with NSW transport & Newcastle Council who are providing a skip & industrial beach rake to ready the beach for summer. We need you to show them we care.

Bring family & friends & we'll provide the food & fun. We'll get on the water in the afternoon so if you can, plan to stay & play after the hard work is done. Lets get this all done together on one day. 🌊✊
