Author Talk: Burning Mountain – Darcy Tindale

Join us at Newcastle City Library to hear author Darcy Tindale discuss her creative process, get insights into her crime writing life and launch her second novel, Burning Mountain.

Detective Rebecca Giles returns in Burning Mountain, Darcy Tindale’s sequel to The Fall Between. This time she is out to solve the 20-year-old mystery of a missing schoolboy who went up a mountain with four of his friends, but did not return.

Drawing inspiration from Darcy’s childhood in the Upper Hunter Valley, her second novel offers a candid portrait of rural Australia, the unspoken secrets that small communities often harbour and the devastating ramifications they can cause.

Copies of Burning Mountain will be available for purchase and signing at the event, provided by MacLean’s Booksellers.

About the Author:

Darcy Tindale is an actor, author, theatre sports player and director and has appeared in television commercials, film and on stage. She has written comedy for radio, stage, media personalities, comedians and theatre restaurants. Her short stories, plays and poems have been published in anthologies, journals and magazines. Her first novel, The Fall Between, came out in 2023 and was shortlisted for the Davitt Awards and the Ned Kelly Awards.
