Spotlight on… Life Sciences

To celebrate our 25th birthday, on Saturday 14 June we’re putting the spotlight on the amazing research that happens on our site.

Enjoy hands-on biology-based activities, from our friends at Newcastle University, Northumbria University, QuantuMDx and the NHS.

⏰ Do you have the skills of an embryologist? Count as many cells as you can in 60 seconds!
💪 Test your toughness with the ‘Muscle Team’ and explore how physiotherapists build strength in patients
🔬 Think you know your organs? See if you can identify the developing heart, brain and liver through a microscope

🎫 All included in your science centre ticket. This event will run in addition to the usual exhibits and activities.
