Newcastle's rising neosoul showgirl, Rivkala, and her 6-piece jazz band will be celebrating the release of the debut EP, Crushed Velvet. They'll take you on a journey to the titular cabaret bar, transporting to a bygone era, with roaring horns, hypnotic basslines and even a cheeky nod to burlesque. You're all invited (but not obliged) to dive into the fantasy with them, and come to drown your sorrows dolled up in vintage prohibition glamour.

Born in Piauí, a state in Northeastern Brazil, Newcastle-based alt-pop singer/songwriter Nadedja has always had the power to mesmerise and captivate an audience through her storytelling. Her music is a journey of self-acceptance, navigating her experience of moving to the UK for love and the joys and heartbreaks of building a life in a completely new country, all while trying to maintain a connection to her ancestry.
