We would like to invite you to take part in an awareness session to work towards Newcastle being a city where people living with dementia are: understood, respected, supported, included, involved, confident they can contribute to their community, have choice and control in their lives and can find local help and support when it is required.
As part of this session we will deliver a dementia friends session which is a National initiative supported through the Alzheimer’s Society where you will gain a greater understanding of what dementia is and some of the key messages around dementia.
You will have an opportunity to learn more about the Drawn Together project, to see the exhibition and what we are learning from the work.
We will share some information of the picture of dementia in the city and some of the resources that are available to assist people during their dementia journey which are on Information Now.
Please not these sessions will be held in Bewick Room 3 at Newcastle City Library.
Also check out other Workshops in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Exhibitions in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
