Connects is a not-for-profit, relaxed and informal networking opportunity facilitated by number of local business owners in the Staffordshire area who enjoy bringing people together and promoting the many positive aspects of local community.
Each month, we carefully choose our guest speakers who have success stories, interesting projects and events to share that are happening on our doorstep.
We’re delighted to invite you to a relaxed and informal networking session at the beautiful Whitmore Hall , a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. Steeped in history and charm, the Hall and its surrounding estate provide a unique and inspiring setting to connect with others, enjoy meaningful conversations, and learn more about the exciting developments happening right on our doorstep.
Joining us as guest speakers are Edward Cavenagh , representing the Whitmore Estate , and Ian Cartwright , founder of Kuotos Swim .
Edward will share some of the history and stewardship of the estate, as well as its evolving role in the local community, inlcuding the development of Whitmore Lakes .
Ian will introduce Kuotos Swim’s open water swimming sessions, held on the estate’s lakes, and speak about the benefits of outdoor swimming and the growing popularity of this inclusive, invigorating activity.
Whether you're a local entrepreneur, business owner or organisation, all are welcome to our network meeting, and there are no fees to attend: the meetings are free thanks in part to generous support from the team at the Newcastle-under-Lyme Business Improvement District. So be sure to bring your business cards and share the event with others who might be interested.
