I Hear America Singing

With words by Whitman, Dickinson, Hughes and other American poets and lyricists, and music by Copland, Ives, Dylan and more, this concert explores what it means to be American. Who gets to decide? What is patriotism’s place in our society? Repertoire explores The American Dream, The American Diaspora, Songs of Protest, and finally asks: The American Dream Restored?
