Forest Therapy/Forest Bathing/Shinrin-Yoku
Forest Therapy is a practice of being immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of the Forest, with the aim of nature helping the mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of those that join us. It’s slow and mindful and is wonderful at helping you switch off from life whilst you’re in the woods.
Join Emily in the Woodland at Treetops for some Forest Therapy, over two and a half hours we will focus on slowing down bodies and mind, as you spend time immersing yourself in the Woodland using your senses through several ‘invitations’.
Mats will be provided for you, but please bring a folding chair with you if you would prefer to. Wear warm, cosy and loose layers as your body temperature will drop in the woodland shade especially as you will be slowing down.
A bottle of water and perhaps some bug spray would be useful. Please leave your phone/watch in the car or switched off at the bottom of your bag.
Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements as we will round off our session with a drink and snack.
Please note we are in private woodland so will not be disturbed by passers-by or inquisitive dogs, always a bonus!
If you have any questions at all, please send me an email.
In the event of heavy rain/high winds I will postpone the event, and will send you an email to confirm on the morning of the workshop. In the event of light and/or sporadic rain we will continue in waterproof clothing as that and the tree canopy will shelter us slightly and the sounds and scent that come from the rain and forest really add to the experience. 😀 🍂
