On April 25th, it will be one year since we lost our dearly loved mother, Bonny Warner. We all miss her fiercely & strive daily to continue to make her proud. If you've experienced a deep loss, it's no secret that grief is a beast. It never ends; however, you do have to find ways to swim in it. One of the many ways we've chosen to embrace our grief is through honoring the tradition she started years ago.
Bonny Warner was a local photographer that found great joy in capturing the hearts of families on film. Over the course of her career, she began a tradition at Easter and Christmas which allowed customers to trade one jar of peanut butter for one free 5x7 print in addition to their purchased package. Several hundred jars were donated to local food banks throughout her career. Last April, we were able to continue her legacy and donate over two hundred jars of peanut butter brought by family and friends to her Celebration of Life.
To commemorate her life, on Sunday, April 27th (rain or shine), we will hold “The Bonny Warner Peanut Butter Legacy Drive” in the parking lot of Chic-fil-a Newburgh where friends, family, Memories at Home Photography customers, etc. can drop off a jar or multiple jars of peanut butter. Those accumulated jars will be donated to the Warrick County School Corporation food pantries.
We would love to have you partner with us to carry out our mom’s dream to pay it forward one jar of peanut butter at a time. Please see the comment section of this event for a two-minute Channel 7 news video highlighting her Easter 2011 event where you can hear from Bonny, herself, exactly why this was so close to her heart.
