Meeting point    The Steeple WASPS Studios, 67 High Street, Newburgh 

Time 09.30 am

Finishing place – Balmerino Abbey (3pm-5pm aprox) 

In association with the Beach of Dreams & Kinetika, ArtMovesFife will be leading their first ever bike run! Covering a total of 12 miles this ArtMove follows the flow of the River Tay towards the sea, gathering knowledge and stories with local artists, and any members of the community with a knowledge of local nature, history, geology or geography to add to the mix. 

We will begin by using the bikes to make ‘action prints’ at the Steeple, which will become the basis for further observations. Our journey will take us via Lindors Abbey, and then follow the Tay, up the hill to Brunton & Creich Churchyard, for a final descent towards the National Trust’s Balmerino Abbey.

There will be more art action around the Abbey’s ancient 457 year old Sweet- Chestnut Tree & we will be using our first of these journeys to develop ideas with local artist-cyclists. 

Please bring your own picnic/snacks, your favourite drawing tools 

(although art materials will be provided)
