Newaygo Prairie TLC Volunteer Workday!

Burn Season is Upon Us! Come out to help us prepare an area for prescribed burning later this Fall

9am: A short tour and orientation of the Prairie will be given to new volunteers.
9am - 12pm: TLC work - you can come for all or part of the day.

Work to be Done:
We will be cutting & hauling brush and small trees to reduce hazards for a future burn.

Special Instructions:
Dress for the weather, but wear long pants & long sleeves. Sturdy shoes or boots - you will be walking on uneven ground.

What to Bring:
Hand saws, work gloves & loppers if you have them (some will be provided); water bottle & snacks if you need them.

If the work crew is out of sight from the parking area, please follow the orange flags.

Location Directions:
Take Croton-Hardy Drive East from Newaygo to S. Poplar Ave; turn north; Cross 56th st and park alongside the road.
