In 1953, Bill and Margie Samuels introduced Maker's Mark, a bourbon distinguished by its unique red wax seal. This innovative approach, combined with their commitment to meticulous craftsmanship, challenged industry norms and established a legacy of family tradition that continues to shape the distillery today.

In 1985, the Hilton Wilmington/Christiana opened its doors for the first time. 40 years later, the hotel has matured and refined in a similar fashion to the Maker’s Mark spirits. Our steadfast commitment to the elevated food & beverage experience hasn’t wavered. Similar to the Maker’s Mark heritage, we’ve challenged our industry norms and established a legacy of a long-tenured hotel family that is beyond compare.

In January of 2025, four members of our team embarked on a journey to the Maker's Mark Distillery in Kentucky. They were entrusted with the creation of a signature bourbon with five distinct flavor profiles. Through a careful process of selection and refinement, they crafted a unique expression of Maker's Mark, a testament to their discerning taste and the distillery's dedication to quality.

The result is a “one of one”, unique barrel of MK&B Maker's Mark Private Selection that will yield only 200 bottles of this exquisite blend. It is exclusively available at the Hilton Christiana in both the signature restaurant, Market Kitchen & Bar (MK&B) and during our finely curated catered events. We invite you to savor this exceptional bourbon, a product of both our team's expertise and the enduring legacy of Maker's Mark.
