The Indeterminacy Festival creates exceptional opportunities for lifelong artists, inviting an intergenerational ensemble of over one hundred community and professional artists to collaborate on the development and staging of large-scale works. Fourteen Porches was originally staged in June 2024 across the 14 porches of the historic Victorian homes in Nolan Park on Governors Island. The work featured twenty musicians, seventy singers, and fifteen dancers. The work, inspired by the historic porches of Nolan Park, sought to integrate music and dance with architectural elements and explores the uncertainty of today’s changing climate. This evening’s performance is tailor-made for the NAC with a chamber orchestra performing alongside the Grace Chorale, Brooklyn Treble Choir, and dancers from the original work. Artistic director and co-composer Stanzi Vaubel with co-composer Philippe Treuille and choreographer Melanie Aceto will hold a Q&A following the performance.
Entry to this event is not guaranteed with Eventbrite reservation. Please arrive no more than 15-20 minutes before the event start time. Seating is first-come, first-served.
