Mark your calendar! On Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, Rev. Earl Ikeda will again hold his “Summer Breeze” introduction to Asian Brush Painting Workshop. He will share with you the art of painting with Sumi-e (black ink) and fude (brush). A special added feature this summer is that he will also share and demonstrate his understanding of Chinese and Japanese calligraphy.
Each workshop will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the American Buddhist Study
Center, 331 Riverside Drive, 3rd Floor, New York City. You may sign up for only one day or for both days. Donations are appreciated; the suggested amount for one day is $35 or $50 for both. Brush painting materials and light refreshments will be provided.
