PAOLO MARCHETTINI, Clarinet

Paolo Marchettini is a mesmerizing clarinetist, composer, and pianist whose artistry bridges classical tradition and contemporary innovation. Born in Rome and based in New York, he has performed as a soloist across Europe and the U.S., collaborating with luminaries like Luciano Berio and Ennio Morricone. A prizewinner at the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Marchettini’s compositions have graced stages from the Biennale di Venezia to the Festival Berio. His acclaimed albums, including Ebony Chants and The Months Have Ends, showcase his lyrical voice and virtuosic command of the clarinet. As a faculty member at the Manhattan School of Music, he continues to inspire the next generation of musicians.
