Join on Wednesday, June 25th at 12:00 PM ET, as we welcome the first Black female US senator, , for a signing to celebrate the release of ; where she details her remarkable childhood and political career on the Hill.

To make this event safe and enjoyable for all attendees, please read the below guidelines ahead of buying a ticket, so you know what to expect on the day. To avoid disappointment, we must stress that there will be no access to the event for non-ticketholders.

Due to health and safety and space limitations, those without a ticket will not be permitted into the event space.

This is a signing event. The author will personalize the purchased book (first name only).

Photos will be taken on attendees cellphones with the author seated behind the signing table. No standing posed photos will be permitted.

No memorabilia will be signed.

Any gifts for Ambassador Braun will be collected prior to the signing line.

The event line will begin to form outside at 11:00 AM the day of the event. Please have a copy of your ticket available (either printed out or on your phone) for check in.

ABOUT Trailblazer: Perseverance in Life and Politics:

The first Black woman ever elected to the Senate. The first woman to represent the state of Illinois. The first Black woman to serve as a US ambassador to New Zealand. These are just a few of the “firsts” that Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun can lay claim to since entering politics in the 1970s. Since then, the self-professed “Black girl from the south side of Chicago” has been shattering ceilings and making history.

Yet her journey to Congress and to international renown was not an easy one, rife with obstacles, controversies, and lessons learned. In Trailblazer, Moseley Braun shares the full story of her extraordinary life in a fascinating narrative filled with poignant, powerful, and sometimes funny stories.
