Rise: A Story of Shipwreck and Hope • Street Theatre • Meditation • FREE

Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, “Rise: A Story of Shipwreck and Hope” is an interactive play that asks the audience and performers, “What does a ‘tempest’ look and feel like to you?” Reflecting the daily challenges of life, the show begins with a choreographed shipwreck and follows the characters as they row their way to undergo a series of playful escapades. It culminates in a message of empowerment, connection, and celebration as the lost shipmates reunite with each other, claim their strength and equilibrium, and rebuild their ship. Featuring live music, giant puppets, interactive storytelling, and choreography, “Rise” will be performed in significant outdoor historic spaces such as Washington Square Park in New York, Faneuil Hall in Boston, and the Lincoln Memorial, as well as farmers' markets and street fairs. We aim to bring the arts to the people!

Followed by a relaxing and uplifting meditation!

The Rise Tour is a unique initiative that combines theatre, film, and meditation, led by a diverse group of artists and meditators from the U.S., France, Belgium, and India, traveling across the East Coast. It brings together enlightened art, inner peace, joy, and practical, transformative meditation techniques rooted in Sahaja Yoga. Through a series of indoor film screenings, outdoor theatre performances, and guided meditation workshops, the tour aims to connect with individuals seeking personal growth, artistic inspiration, self-discovery, and spiritual development.
