Join the Design Trust for Public Space, the Waterfront Alliance, and Hudson River Park Trust for a public space potluck to learn more about local fights to create access to NYC's waterways across the five boroughs and preserve vulnerable coastal habitats. Bring a dish and your sunscreen!
Located in Hudson River Park between Gansevoort Street and Little West 12th Street, and opposite the Whitney Museum of American Art, Gansevoort Peninsula offers no swimming, but 1,200 tons of sand with beach umbrellas, Adirondack-style chairs, misting features for cooling down or rinsing off sand, a dog park, a protected salt marsh, boardwalk strolls, public art, incredible waterfront views, and more features informed by an extensive community engagement and design process.
About Public Space Potlucks
Design Trust's Public Space Potlucks gather urban enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds together for a shared meal and to experience public space initiatives across the five boroughs. The event is free and open to the public. Please bring a dish to share if you can! We will provide some snacks, drinks, cups, plates, napkins, etc.
