Join us THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 9th, from 8-9:30pm at the Block House on Governors Island for a program of rarely-screened films from the Coop's collection focusing on the intersection of architecture, urbanism, and radical use of public space.
We are honored to partner with the Institute for Public Architecture (IPA) to show rarely screened films addressing topics of agency and joy in public spaces in New York City! This program features films spanning the 1950s to the 2020s by Coop filmmaker-members Henry Hills, Barbara Rosenthal, Warren Sonbert, Marie Menken, Jason Duval, Rudy Burckhardt, Shirley Clarke, and Jack Smith.
Travel note: Ferries run between Manhattan and Governors Island every 30 minutes. Ferry tickets must be purchased separately for this event at the Battery Maritime Terminal. Please visit govisland.com for ferry schedules and more information.
