As Muslim educators, we carry not only the responsibility of teaching but also the deep, spiritual duty to nurture, protect, and uplift our students. This gathering is a space for us to come together, breathe, and build with one another. It’s for those of us who believe that empathy belongs in every lesson plan, that our faith calls us to care deeply, and that our classrooms can be places of peace and resistance at the same time.
This event is about building genuine community among muslim educators, especially those who often feel alone in navigating their roles. It’s also a space to hold what's happening around the world, especially in Gaza, Sudan, and to the Uyghur Muslims, with compassion and action. We'll be raising money in support of these communities, while also nourishing our spirits with food, reflection, and dua.
Come if you're looking for connection. Come if you’re tired but hopeful. Come if you believe that teaching is a form of worship. You are welcome here.
“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them.”— Sahih Muslim 1631
May our work as educators live on as beneficial knowledge, and may our classrooms be places where hearts and minds are healed, not just taught.
