Join in New York City on Monday, August 25th at 6PM, as we welcome New York Times bestselling author and Hugo Award–winning artist, to celebrate their first picture-book ! Set on the night of Día de Muertos, this is a story of love, loss, and the courage that can be found in unexpected places.

To make this event safe and enjoyable for all attendees, please read the below guidelines ahead of buying a ticket, so you know what to expect on the day. To avoid disappointment, we must stress that there will be no access to the event for non-ticketholders.

Leigh & John will sign and personalize (name only) copies of . Leigh will also sign (signature only) TWO additional books and John will sign (signature only) TWO additional art prints per person.
Leigh & John will not pose for photos. A B&N staff member will be on-hand to take candid photos while your book is signed.
Any gifts for the author & artist will be collected prior to the signing line.
Please arrive by 6PM in order to secure your seat in the event space. Late arrivals may only have access to standing room and may not have the opportunity to meet the author & artist.
No memorabilia will be signed at this event.
No large bags will be permitted into the event.
Ticket holders will be admitted into the event beginning at 5:30PM the day of the event. Please have a copy of your ticket available (either printed out or on your phone) for check in.
Due to health and safety and space limitations, those without a ticket will not be permitted into the event space.
Please note that Eventbrite is the only authorized dealer for this event. Each person must have a ticket to enter.

Attendees can receive refunds up to 24 hours before your event start time.
If you are unable to attend the event, Barnes & Noble - Union Square in New York City will hold your book for seven days after the event. Please contact the store to arrange your pickup.
Should this event be canceled, all customers will be refunded their ticket price to the original method of payment per Eventbrite's refund policy.

John Picacio is a World Fantasy Award– and Hugo Award–winning artist who has created book illustrations for major works by George R. R. Martin, Rebecca Roanhorse, and many more. He’s the founder of the Mexicanx Initiative, spearheading the journeys of more than forty Mexican and Mexican American creators into the wider awareness of fantasy and science fiction audiences. John lives in San Antonio.
