🎤 Speaker: Archaeologist, Dr. Fabio Esteban Amador

Join us for a fascinating exploration of Paleolithic cave art from the Franco-Cantabrian region of Spain and France. Fabio Esteban Amador will guide us through iconic sites such as Lascaux, Peche Merle, Rouffignac, and El Castillo, examining their content and the interpretations they have inspired over time.

This lecture will re-examine the roles that both Neanderthals and modern humans played in the creation of this enduring legacy. Fabio Esteban Amador, originally from El Salvador, is an accomplished archaeologist, photographer, and visual artist who has dedicated much of his career to exploring the intersection of art and identity in ancient cultures.

With a master’s and doctorate in Mesoamerican archaeology, he has excavated ancient Maya sites and has recently focused on documenting Paleolithic cave art, using innovative tools to promote conservation and immersive experiences.
