Join us for an intimate afternoon of traditional Mongolian music, featuring the extraordinary throat singer and multi-instrumentalist Anand Avirmed.
This is the first installment of From Zayton to New York, a world music series curated by See Sea Records to highlight living folk traditions across Asia. Each volume invites listeners to encounter unique musical languages in unexpected spaces.
Vol.1 — Voice of the Mongols brings you the sounds of the Central Asian steppe: khoomei throat singing, the haunting resonance of the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle), and the nomadic melodies of Mongolia.
