"TESTIMONIALS"
When I first met Rob I immediately sensed his aura. He had this seasoned look about him but I still wasn’t sure what to make of him. Then he spoke a little bit on his accolades and his time in the industry. It felt a bit typical of what you’d expect an acting coach to be. A bit of George Carlin meets Jack Nicholson. Pretty entertaining and DEEPLY insightful. Then I noticed something different. He wasn’t like any regular acting coach. His masterclass wasn’t a lesson it was a dissertation on the true craft of acting in film. Separate from theatre, he spoke on his methods and approaches toward the craft. I would soon learn to simply be quiet and listen to a master at work. It was simple in its complexity. How does one channel printed type off of a piece of paper? The answer might surprise you. It would be later after a few months of training with this man that I would begin to scratch the surface and just be able to answer the question. But it would take me much longer to show someone the real answer. He’s not just an acting coach. He’s your trainer. He trains the eyes. He trains the mind. And he trains your heart. He tells you the truth, especially if you need to hear it. He’s in my corner like a cut man and I’m fighting in the ring. He’s a mean, tough SOB. And I wouldn’t want it any other way. And years from now when I make it to that level. I won’t have him to thank. He wouldn’t allow it. He’d tell me it had nothing to do with him. He’s the north star guiding you through the leviathan that is Hollywood and trust me he’s seen and done it all with anyone you can think of. The man is truly a part of history. - Albert Reid
Sometimes in life you have to take a chance or leap of faith. I met Robert over a year ago and have not regretted that decision. Robert is the real deal he has been there and experienced the inside of the film industry and is willing to share that information. Roberts teaching skills are one of a mentor, friend, and guide to navigate the film Industries ins and outs. His no-nonsense approach is inspirational and life-altering, after leaving a session with Robert I am energized and ready the climb the next hill to understand the artistry of my craft or as Robert would share, the 3 D's; Discipline, Drive, Determination. It is an honor to say I study and learn under the direction of this wise Master teacher of the arts. - Arthur Buchet
Intoxicating .. can't get enough.. Robert's passion, intensity and charisma...is what is needed for a coach to train an actor in pursuing the most obscure and mysterious art of acting.. Robert instills into the actor the drive, determination that is necessary to acquire the tools that are essential in this craft. Robert's extensive background in the entertainment industry provides valuable insights..... By studying under Robert's direction I know that applying/practicing the techniques of the craft that are taught makes me prepared to face the various challenges .. I can confront my fears.. the self doubts... the self consciousness... knowing I can pull through not only in my acting endeavors but in life as they are intertwined . I am greatly appreciative that I have the opportunity to study with Robert.. a whole new world has opened up for me. - Patricia Anderson
Working with Robert is truly a dream come true—literally, as he’s the reason I moved to New York from across the ocean. I could write hundreds of pages about his inspiring way of working and his one-of-a-kind personality. When I first arrived in the city of dreams, I had no idea if Robert would work with me, so the fact that he gave me a chance still feels surreal. He’s one of the kindest, most grounded people I’ve ever met, and his deep knowledge of the craft is matched only by his generosity in sharing it. Robert cares for his actors in a way no one else does—you always feel safe, seen, and supported in his presence. At the same time, he keeps us on our toes, pushing us to stay disciplined and give our all. The results of working with him are not just visible—they’re transformative. He believes in his students, and when he’s in your corner, you know you're going to win. I’ve never met anyone like him, and I’m never getting out of that boat with him. - Michalina Stachowiak
Upon reentering the acting world I felt lost. I didn’t know how to work and I didn’t know how the keep my craft sharp. After attending Robert’s workshop I had no doubt that he was the man I needed to work with. Our sessions are long and hard, but every single time I walk out of the studio a better and sharper actor than when I walked in. Robert’s attention to detail, work ethic and dedication to the truth is second to none. The script analysis and truth serum method have opened my eyes to how real this craft can be. Instituting the hour a day work ethic has kept my craft sharp. If you have a burning passion for this business, you owe it to yourself to train with Robert. - Matt Biery
Where to even start with this divine human being who is the most supportive, wise, non judgmental acting trainer there is. I met Robert in New York City 21 years go and my life changed that day. I’ve been working as an actor since I was a child and am so extremely lucky to be taught by him. The work is life changing - All of my blocks get busted down and I know, always, that I am extremely prepared and strong, in the room, on set, or on tape and believe in the takes I turn in. Once long ago he was friends with the casting director and was behind the casting table with everyone, I felt like an absolute superstar while Robert cheered me on - and it changed the game for me that day as that particular audition was make or break. Thank you, Robert for always being in my corner and for making me a stronger performer and better person. - Marni Lustig
Working with Robert has been a total game changer. I feel like I won the training lottery! It is clear why he is so in demand with actors at every level. You need to be prepared to make a serious commitment and work hard. But it is so rewarding! I am continuously adding more to my tool belt and have never felt more prepared for any acting work that comes my way. He will teach you how to break down scripts; learning how to become a sharpened script detective at what's going on both above and below the surface, and how to fill in gaps with your imagination - "authentically, logically, sensibly." Among so many other things! And attending his master class is a great way to give you an idea of what to expect. - Kayla Klatzkin
Working with Robert is incredibly transformative for me. I not only have a new appreciation and understanding of acting as an intricate craft, but also begins an unbelievable journey on knowing myself. The insights and perspectives Robert brings to the table are truly inspiring and special. I feel myself being more brave and more determined to my dreams and I am fully grateful for all the support and guidance Robert provides through the journey. - Sherly Fan
"I have been working with Robert for almost 3 years now, and if anyone has been able to get me out of my own head, its him. He has helped me immensely to channel the difficult situations I've gone through into my acting, and has pushed me to be better more than i ever expected. The consistency and discipline that Robert teaches is extremely unique and cannot be learned in a classroom. His "one on one" training sessions have been preparing me to step into the light and shine through as an actor, and i could not be more grateful for him and all he's done." - Kelly Montgomery
“I’ve been a professional comedian for 20 years while I’m not at Dave Chappelle‘s level I have headlined countless shows. I was taking acting classes I was pleased with all of them. But the difference between Robert’s training classes and the others is that his hardcore no BS approach to sharpen and skill an actor is something astounding. I didn’t realize how little I knew about acting until I took one of Robert’s sessions. His feedback is honest and refreshing. If somethings not working, he’s going to tell you as he’s on a mission to work as hard as you are willing to in order to help you be a successful actor. And I would highly recommend him to anyone who has the fire and discipline to learn the craft of acting the right way.” - Geoff Kole
The best thing to happen to me once I moved to New York was meeting Robert. A year ago I decided to go to his Master Class on a whim and I haven’t looked back. Robert will push you to not only be the best actor you can be, but the best version of yourself. He is able to inspire without sugarcoating the realities of the industry. I genuinely feel more confident in my skills and in my capability to forge my own path as an actor. If you want to take this art form seriously, you won’t regret training under Robert. - Gabriela Iglesias
“I’m grateful to train with Robert, and learn from his lifetime of experience for many reasons. He teaches a well oiled method that encourages listening, while keeping the work enjoyable. It’s the next step for an actor who has the drive, discipline, and passion to reach their full potential as an actor on screen. Above all else, I’ve always known I can trust Robert to be an acting coach/trainer who will always give honest, and digestible feedback with my best interest in mind, which is much appreciated!” - Gabriel Frampton
I met Robert during the pandemic, a very lonely time in my life. I own Fortitude Dance Productions, and I had asked Robert to come teach a master class for my pre-professional dancers training as triple threats. While watching those master classes it reignited my own love for this craft. When I started working one on one with Robert I was excited because I thought it would help me escape my own life. I was completely wrong, it actually did the opposite. It helped me face my life head on. When I tell you Robert single handedly changed my life, it is the understatement of the year. Through character analysis and finding the truth in every scene, it not only helped me on my own journey towards becoming a better actor (which is continuous by the way), it also gave me the knowledge, and courage to reflect on my own life. To be a student of Robert's you have to be completely honest with yourself. In doing so I learned how to love myself. You can't buy that anywhere else. Because once you do sure, you'll become a better actor, but you'll also become a better person. You can't do this craft well unless you know yourself. Robert takes the time to get you, and meet you where you are in life. I used to walk around NYC scared and unsure of myself. I was so numb due to my own trauma that I didn't have the guts to deal with yet. Robert called me out on my sh!t, and broke through that with compassion. Robert changed my life, and for that I'll forever be grateful. So I don't care what you must do to get to this workshop: plane, train, car, carrier pigeon. Whatever it is - get yourself there and you may be lucky enough to get to train with him. - Bettina Mahoney
"Its only been a few months and I'm so grateful to have met him. I would've been completely lost, unsure of myself, and confused about acting if i didn't meet him. It's always a workout and I'm challenged to go deeper each time. I am more motivated to work harder on my craft since working with him. In just a few months i have a completely different outlook on acting and i know working with him I'm now going in the right direction. What i knew about acting before didn't sit right with me, and I'm so grateful now to be presently training with him." - Lianne Awah
“Just like the legendary Constantine “Cus” D’Amato, Robert is immediately going to get you started on the punching bag to teach you how to throw a jab. You’re going to learn it all, because he’s going to teach the proper techniques to express the right and only feelings for all characters that you will be playing. His methodology is flawless, and he will definitely show you the path to the Actors’ Promise Land. The rest is up to you to make it happen. If acting is what you really want to do then there is no excuse. In the boxing world, Cus D’Amato did it for his young protégé, “Iron” Mike Tyson... In the acting realm, Robert has done it for countless actors, and he will definitely do it for you.” - François Rolf
"If you want to improve yourself as a Screen Actor ? Work with Robert period. He has reminded me countless times how an actor must be skilled in order to succeed, and make it a priority to constantly hone your skills. He insists that you find the truth to the character in every scene, and do the work to get to that point. He has taught me that being a skilled actor is an ongoing process of working at one's craft consistently and it requires a great deal of devotion and discipline. He loves the art of acting, and brings intensity and passion to what he does. He is full of stories from a lifetime of experience, and doesn't hold back his opinions and literally trains you like a fighter. With Robert you get one-on-one attention, and he invests his time in seeing you improve. And be prepared for honest feedback and straight talk, and be ready to work hard. Only work with Robert if you are prepared to Do The Work. Only work with Robert if you are determined to be a successful Screen Actor and you are looking to endure the long haul. - Brian Newman
Robert is one of the best acting teacher/trainers that I've ever had. He gives you the tools that every actor should know when they're starting out. He's taught me how to listen to my characters and how to properly read and analyze a script. As a result of his lessons, my performance has improved as well as my memory (which was a big obstacle for me). Every time I go to his class I leave with a new perspective on acting, and in life. Robert is creative, kind and ... tough. If you get the opportunity to take his classes, you won't regret it. - Claudia Gregory
"Robert, has completely changed my way of thinking. Not only has he pushed me to use my potential to become a skilled actress, he has also taught me how to set higher standards for myself. I now understand what it means to be in competition with myself. I’m still in disbelief on how much I have progressed since meeting him. He is truly respectful, super professional and very efficient. If you are lucky enough to meet and train with him, I guarantee that he will motivate, inspire and bring out the best in you. Please note that he does not take the craft of acting lightly, so be prepare to work hard everyday! I highly recommend him to anyone who is passionate about becoming one of the best actor or actress in the field." -M Cortez
"Forget everything you have ever been taught when it comes to “Acting”. When you are in a session with Robert it’s about FEELING. When you train with Robert you begin to realize that your life ceases to exist once you tap in and are the role, instead of acting like the character. With Robert you are taught how to find and use the necessary tools that allow you to achieve this new sense of reality. The technique, the criticism and the undeniably inspiring motivation Robert gives you sets you on path to be confident in the audition room and thus on-set. Plus there is something so special about training with someone who respects the craft just as much their students. It encourages you to realize that there are no limitations to diving in deep and stepping into script and recognizing it as a place you have always known. I am so grateful for Robert’s training. My life as an actor (FEELER*) has enormously improved. Auditions don’t scare me as much as they used to, and my time on-set or onstage has been playground for justifiably living an alternate life! Coincidentally as well, it has given me new wisdom for life I live when I play the role of myself. Needless to say, I highly recommend working with Robert." - Stephanie Curtiss
"To say I've learned a lot is the understatement of the century. Working with Robert for close to 6 years now has opened every window and door in my mind that I didn't know my creativity was screaming behind. If you ever get the opportunity to work with him, do not let it pass you by. Yes, you'll work harder than you ever thought your brain could handle but it is genuinely worth the ass-kicking to your soul. If you have the desire to better yourself in your craft, learn from this last-unicorn-wealth-of-knowledge". - Charlotte Henrich
"When it comes to this craft Robert is a wealth of information. He will make you question everything you’ve been told and shake you to your core. He trains you to be the very best. It’s exhausting but oh so worth it. He teaches you how to fight and how to feel. When he talks things that other instructers have told me, that have never really made sense, suddenly click into place. He gives you a purpose and shows you what your fighting for. Come in with an open mind. You’ll leave with more then you bargained for." - J Jacob
"If you've never had a session with Robert, prepare to have your ass kicked in a bizarrely satisfying way. He conditions you how to use what's necessary, throw away what isn't, and find the truth to every moment which can be very challenging at times. He knows his stuff, he knows the business, and he knows what needs to get done to implant the necessary work ethic into his students. Working with him is always an intimidating pleasure, and I'd recommend his classes to anyone who is serious about training themselves and honing their abilities in this crazy field. Just make sure that you have one really good monologue prepared." - Daniel Pellicano
"Take. This. Workshop. It will change the way you think about this industry for the better. You'll want to work harder, more efficiently, specifically, and emotionally. Training with Robert challenges me in a way most acting classes never would. It's difficult, exciting, and definitely worth your time." - Arielle Beth
"Working with Robert has changed the way I view acting. He's knowledgeable and patient, which he shows through a no-nonsense teaching style. It forces me to have higher expectations on myself and my work." - Andrew Dobbie
"ACTORS! ACTORS! ACTORS! Do ANYthing, and I mean ANYthing to get to this workshop with Robert ! Skip rent, sell your pearls, take an extra shift, tap dance in Times Square for spare change in a Dixie cup. Empty this day on your calendar at all costs, cancel your dinner with the Pope, fly in from Tahiti, whatever. Just make it happen. Let me be very clear: MAKE. IT. HAPPEN." - Jessica Polsky
"Robert is a well-known hard driving acting trainer who gives 150% and helps actors find it within themselves to deliver as much. I don't believe it gets any better than this." - Teresa Olivieri
"This is something you honestly don't want to miss. Robert has changed my entire thought of film acting and two years later I'm thankful I met him! Get to know someone who was born into the business and knows the honest TRUTH behind it, I promise you won't regret going. - S Parrish
If you’re looking to stand out from your competitors in the audition process then I highly recommend Robert. After a few sessions you will see that what you’ve been taught does not compare to how Robert will train you. He provides you with unique necessities that are crucial when it comes to growing in your craft. After multiple years of training with Robert, I am landing auditions and booking the role (this was a challenge for me prior to working with him). Robert is not only my trainer, preparing me to fight against top “fighters” (actors) in the "ring" (audition room) but he’s also a great mentor with a plethora of knowledge to get you to where you need to be as an actor. If you are driven, have a passion and know that becoming a great actor takes time and doesn’t happen overnight, then he’s what you’ve been looking for to get you to your biggest fight yet. - Mattia Cornell
"By far one of the best classes I've taken to polish your skills and get you ready to take on anything casting throws at you in the audition room. When preparation meets opportunity great things happen and Robert keeps you on your toes prepared. If you're serious about the craft of acting, his private training sessions are essential." - Hannah Townsend

"Guys !!! I'm sure you've heard me go on about how amazing my acting trainer Robert is, so don't miss out on a chance to work with him and see for yourself! He's amazing, he's changed acting for me SO MUCH! When I first started working with him I had no monologues and felt lost, since working with him I have 20 monologues and feel more confident in myself as an actor. He's so badass and teaches you what you don't learn in school; he really shows you how to find the truth and be certain about it." - Hannah Abney

With his vast experience in the industry, he gives you the behind the scenes perspective of an acting master trainers thoughts on the art/craft of acting and also informs the actor how to tackle the audition room with proper preparation." - Laura Pomykala
"This Seminar was amazing. It really helped me to figure what conversations were being had in the industry and what kind of work ethic I needed to thrive as an actor." - Michael Gene Jacobs
"Looking to take your performances to the next level? Want to learn from a top-notch, acting trainer ? Check out this workshop and train with the best. I've been training with Robert for over a year now, and my skills and confidence are at their peak." - Jesse Tendler
I met Robert when I boarded the wrong train and it was one of the best mistakes I have ever made ! When we started working together, I had been training under a Meisner based class for just over a year. Robert showed me how overly-complex Meisner was, and how to use acute script analysis to minimize my time analyzing and spend more time doing ! Robert tailors every session to exactly what you need to succeed as an actor, building upon the skills you have to order and sharpening your mind. One year into our training, I have built confidence, memorize faster than ever, and continue to build skills on making “right choices” during cold reads. He trains you to master your auditions and that you will ! Robert will be your biggest supporter day in and day out and is a worthy investment in both yourself and your career. - Vanessa Pepe
"I've been acting since I was 14. 4 years in high school; 4 years in college and 4 years on my own. And yet somehow I had no idea how to analyze a script. Of course they made an attempt to teach me in drama school but I never understood the process because they always over complicated things. I've had 2 acting coaches, 4 acting teachers and yet Robert is the ONLY one that has taught me how to properly analyze a script in a simple way. He also has helped me become a more confident actress and believe in myself more. I don't know what i would do without him ! He’s the best acting trainer out there because he'll kick your ass and doesn't want to hear any excuses. He motivates you and teaches you the honest truth about the craft of acting and works you to the bone. So if you're blessed to ever work with him or go to one of his workshop/intensives I suggest you run." - Emma Koroma
"I've been training with Robert for almost 3 years now and can confirm that I have grown tremendously as an actor under his supervision and guidance. He instilled certain core principles into my brain and I now have a solid understanding as to how to approach a script, break it down and find the only TRUTH there is to bringing your character to life! It takes a lot of work to understand these principles but once you do - you feel confident as an actor and can compete with other seasoned actors, not to mention being taken seriously by casting directors and other industry professionals. Robert is the perfect trainer and knows exactly what you need to strengthen and will structure your work to bring out the best actor in you. Just trust him and do the work !" - Kayla Vera
