Join us as we kick off Mother's Day Weekend. An evening filled with poetry and inspiration at Alke Café in Harlem, NY. This serves as a safe space for men to showcase thier talents either through poetry, spokenword or theatrical dialogue.

Each month, David Hopper, a 2x published author, filmmaker, and community advocate, serves as the curator and host of the event. As always, David will close the show with his own powerful set.

This month, we are excited to feature Sior Gomez ,a Dominican born, Brookyn raised advocate and powerful poet. Returning to grace the stage is autor, poet Sean "S.Dot Wordsmith" Hunter . We also will have a new comer to the space, Ryd3r, a multi facetd poet, rapper and writer. With a passion for storytelling and unwavering love fro humanity Ryd3r's artistry is testament of stremgth.

*Artists will be giving special attention to women through thier art in recognition of Mother's day.

Whether you're a seasoned poetry lover or simply looking for a night of artistic expression, this event is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the power of words. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with others and be moved by the beauty of language.

The night will be infused with great food, signature drinks, positive vibes, and charming people.

Interactive activities like the popular vibe check, David's trademark "WE GOT ACTION!!" call and response, and the first-of-its-kind Q&A session with the performers will ensure that everyone has a blast.
