In her one-of-a-kind cabaret Ashley Wool shares humorous and heartfelt stories from her unconventional journey to Broadway as one of the original cast members of How to Dance in Ohio — the joyful groundbreaking musical that marked a new era for neurodiverse representation.

Back in 2008 Ashley received an autism diagnosis: a label she thought would end her Broadway dreams if she dared to claim it publicly. But when the pandemic paused showbiz altogether she began exploring her autistic identity in earnest. She soon realized that she had a lot more to say...and what happened next would make her fall deeper in love with musical theatre than she ever dreamed.

Directed by Joe Langworth with musical direction by David John Madore The Broadway Era is a musical celebration of the connections communities and changes that become possible when we find the courage to live authentically.
