Introduction to The Habitat in Queens Park

Sloane Elphinstone, with the City of New Westminster, is pleased to introduce The Habitat, alongside the completion of Phase 1 of the Queen’s Park Farm Transition Master Plan, which has evolved the space into a naturalized area that supports biodiversity as well as outdoor programming and activities throughout the year. Sloane has been with the City for over 35 years and is the Coord. of Park Services. As the manager of the former farm that once inhabited the space, she worked closely with the internal team and local community stakeholders to facilitate the transition to the newly named, Habitat in Queen’s Park. If you have a chance in the next week, try and go and visit the site.

Everyone is welcome. If you are not a New Westminster Horticultual Society member, the drop-in fee is $5 (cash).

Plan to arrive between 6 and 6:30 since the Mann Cup is happening and parking will be at a premium.
